China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation Ltd ("the Company")

Singapore, 2 February 2005 - Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation has filed a claim against the Company in the Singapore High Court, for a sum of about US$26 million, in respect of banking facilities. The Company is currently seeking legal advice on the matter.
